I didn't expect these photos are recognizable. But I find Resin knows everything. It's worth trying. Again, in North California.

CLOSED: More challenging bird IDs (1)
Double-crested Cormorants.
There's 3 species of cormorants in N CA and they can be tricky to tell apart, but the other two (Pelagic and Brandt's) only ever occur on rocky ocean coasts, you wouldn't get them on a muddy estuary like this.

Thank you! I think they must be Double-crested Cormorants, because the park's bird checklist only has this kind of cormorants.
