This plant is in full bloom in the Jungle House. It is covered from top to bottom with blooms(I've pollinated every single one). I'm pretty sure this is suaveolens white. I've used some pollen from Isabella and some from Jutner Orange. I have seed pods of several of my white plants.
Beautiful White Brug
Beautiful!!
Hi Susie,
You are right, it is a beautiful bloom. Can't wait to see what you get from some of the seeds. Always something to look forward to with the brugs and seeds. Keep up the good work. One of my brugs that I had put in the garage for the winter has bloom buds on it now about 4 inches long. If they continue to grow, I'm going to use some of my Frosty Pink pollen on them. It is a Chs. Grimaldi. Can't hurt to use up what I have on hand. Keep us posted........

Oooo very pretty! I can almost smell it!
Beautifully!!
Calla...it is so pretty.
Gorgeous!!!! I have so much to look forward to. Pam
It's beautiful.
Great picture Calalilly! Wish I could take pictures half that good. I just took an armload of pictures with my cheap camera hoping to get just one that shows the pinwheel of color on my Amber Rose hybrid. Pinwheel was my wifes term for pink-orange stripes going from bottom to top on Amber Rose. Color is occassionally splotchy in the stripes, but the nice clear amber stripes inbetween-well lets just say I am rambling as usuall, but happy none the less...
Calalilly, with all seedpods your making you are bound to have some winners for sure. Are you culling seedlings based on leaf patterns or waiting till later?
I will probably cull by color. I will look also for early bloom/growth habit. I would like an orange/peach or yellow with the growth habit of suaveolens. I love the way all the blooms open at once on the suave. and how it has them from top to bottom.
Brugmansia
Do you want some of the seeds when they get ripe?
Calalilly,
I have sent out several pounds of seeds to others this year. I could not possibly accept any Brugmansia from you when I have so much. Thanks for the offer though as it is much appreciated.
I really like whites, your suavolens is very pretty. like the Versi whites too... i guess this might be a good place for me to admit that i have decided to shovel prune two whites that i received last summer sase, labeled charles grimaldi seedlings. if i had only known then it was impossible to grove CG from seeds......anyway, i have really struggled with this...might find local homes for them.
Arlene, Cull away, bit by bit each and every day. I like a few whites myself. Knightii being my favorite white only because I have seen some of Lee's whites produced from it when it was crossed to a white aurea. Think crossing it to a yellow aurea would be better though....
