EP&FP seed pods

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Here is a closer shot of the Frosty Pink and Ecuador Pink seed pods. The FP is on the left and EP is on the right. They are not on the same plant, it just looks that way. These pods are about the same age. Notice that the calyxes fall off soon after the bloom drops.

Keep the pictures coming calalily. I learn more each day.

Most excellent pictures for comparison Calalilly. I know those seedpods are smooth, but others might be delighted to now whether the seedpods are velvety Candida species, smooth/waxy Frosty pink/Insignis Gold, smooth/wrinkled as Isabella is...sorry, just thoughts for those who are interested in different traits and identifying markers. I know I am lax in that department as well. Great for depiction of the different species though. Sorry, I do seem to ramble too much.

Brugmansia
You are right, I forgot to mention that. The Ec. Pink is more velvety than F.P.; Jutner orange is a little velvety. (we like your ramblings BTW)

My two biggest seed pods on Jutner O. I can feel the seeds inside now. The penduncle is still very green. These are the two I brought in by cutting the main trunk and rooting it because the plants were in the ground.

Jutner O will throw out some real winners...I hope. If I had to put money on any of your crosses it would be the Jutner O crossed with Ecuador pink-that was you wasn't it? Candida species x Frosty pink will most likely take a few more crosses before anything trully astounding comes of it, but I have been wrong more times then I have been right and all one needs is just one seed to get lucky.

Yes, it was me who did the Ecuador Pink/Jutner Orange cross.
