CLOSED: Woodpecker? Flicker?

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

We have a large number of red-shafted flickers who spend time in our back yard. Back in 2011, before I knew that there are other types of woodpeckers, I saw this fellow and photographed him. He LOOKS like a woodpecker, but I kind of think he's something else? Comments please....

Thank you most kindly. This clears up a small dispute the wingman and I have been having regarding the woodpecker vs flicker!
