Nanny23 ~ I appreciate that fact that someone besides myself is "gardening by the moon"....at least I don't plant when the chart says that it would not be a good idea. (Gosh I miss Darius!)
I don't limit myself, however to the times to plant, unless the crop is important, like tomatoes or corn. I plant flowers as many times as allowed, however.
I'll be happy when Cristina returns....if she does...
I am like you in that If it is something really important or that I have only a few seeds I stick pretty much to the guide. It has proven itself time and again. So why mess with something that works? But I have been known to plant on "non-planting" days if the need arises. Unfortunately my work schedule doesn't always coincide with the moon ;)

Have you ever done a trial planting, side-by-side...of "by the moon" and "do not plant by the moon"? That would really a good test.
No , but I have been meaning to do that. I meant to back in the Spring and then I got busy and sort of forgot about it. But it is on my to-do list (which is really long) :) I need to try something that germinates pretty quickly and easily. Any suggestions?
