Anyone grow 'Romanesco' Squash from Renee's Garden Seeds?

Danbury, CT(Zone 6a)

Hey has anyone grown Romanesco, specifically from Renee's Garden Seeds? Reason I specify seed source is that I'm getting conflicting reports when I look around the web. Some say they've gotten vines from Romanesco and some say large bushes, but none say the seed source. It matters to me because I need to know how much room to allot and what shape that room should be.

My question, did it grow to a bush or vine?

Approximately how large? (please use a unit of measure, ie. feet, or meters)

Thanks,

Jen

I'm growing Rom.Brocc. for the first time this year. It has only been in the ground two weeks (I started it inside under lights) but is already over a foot tall. It looks like it will grow into a bush at least 2 ft tall and does not look like a vine. I don't know if this will help you, since I got my seeds from Heirloom Seeds, not Renee's. I spaced mine a foot apart, but maybe 18 inches would have been better.

I am growing Romanesco squash.
Very large leaves and fruits.

Ditto on drthor's comments. Large plant. Harvest when small (< 6 inches) for best taste.

The flowers are huge and really thick.
They are perfect to fry. See recipe for "fried zucchini blossoms".

So long as it's a bush, I'm good. I just don't want a monster taking over the garden this year.

Thanks,
Jen
