I'm new to growing strawberries. Just picked first one and it is tasteless, no flavor at all. Is there something I must do to enhance flavor. Advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

Florida, I'm inclined to believe its the cultivar delivering taste (or lack thereof). Mine are not as sweet as I like, but they're pretty good. I think the wild (smaller) varieties have the most flavor.

Hopefully others will weigh in on this.

Concur. Flavor is pretty much tied to variety. Sometimes we may be inclined to pick the first berry before it is ripe.
