Hi all,
I found this little guy on the sidewalk on Park Avenue and 62nd Street this morning. Please forgive the terrible photograph. I scooped it up and put it in a flower bed so it wouldn't get stepped on. It looked like it's just fledged. It had a yellow streak on the top of its head, a yellowy-olive color on its back and a brown and white speckled chest. This was only a few blocks from Central Park. Any ideas? Is it a type of warbler?
In New York City: Warbler perhaps?
Ovenbird. An adult, not a juvenile; probably stunned after flying into a window.
You did exactly the right thing for it ;-)

Thank you! I never would've figured that out. A friend checked later and it was gone, so I guess it recovered!
Let's hope so!
