What didn't make it through this past winter for you ?

What survived ?

Looks like I have lost my red Esperanza. Dead to the ground, but I will give it another week or two. And my gorgeous red lantana. Both were last year's plantings, and I really liked them.

How did lose them? Let me count the ways. :(

Joy, I find Esperanza slow to come back after a freeze so dont give up on that one for sure.

Yellow lantana, mexican heather returning, just s l o w l y....salvias resprouting or coming back from roots, yellow esperanza dies every winter, on its way back. Lost bulbines, a handful of agaves, still searching for some things...

For the esperanza, give it time, and you might want to prune/ cut it back
to stimulate new top growth.

this is the tall yellow. it goes back to root every year, we cut dead branches back and wait til we can break off any of the thicker dead branches
