Sweet looking little guy with lots of color. I was given the name "house finch" for all these guys, but I wonder if there's a more specific name, especially for this tiny red fellow.

Do you mean its scientific binomial name? There are several finches with red including House Finch -but "House Finch" really is its common name.
Well I guess that's as specific as I need to be. I think I was hoping for some ultra rare type of birdie. I can dream. Thanks!
