Once the moon is full... takes a few months to grow and will stall in July /Aug heat- so need grown before they get too hot...i forget the dtm...we planted mid Feb and harvested in June I think...
We normally plant in February and dig when the tops die down, and that is determined by the heat. You could try, the worst thing is they won't make many potatoes. You can extend the season by giving them afternoon shade.
