Wow!!! That pod is huge. You'll need a gallon jug to put all the seeds into. LOL

I've got one on my V.peach too but its nowhere as long as that one .I crossed it with my pink.Do they get fatter or just longer???

CC...this pod is getting both longer and thicker...I have measured it twice in two weeks and it got 1/2 in longer and about 1/2 in wider.

Great depiction of a true versicolor seedpod Glory. How tall is the mother plant? Is she the only seedpod forming on the tree? Ahh, keep us posted on her top size when she finally ripens if you can wait that long. I think seedpod size is determinded to a large extent by watering conditions, height and age of motherplant, but I just don't know enough to say much of anything for sure. What kind of fertilizer are you using by the way? 20-20-20, Fish emulison...?

Brugman,
The plant was about 5 ft tall but I cut it back to the seed pod...I guess it's about 3 ft or so now. I believe this Brug is only 1 year or so old. It gets Osmocote once a year and Peters 20-20-20 every couple of weeks. Instead of using the Miracle Grow container I use a hose end weed and bug container...you know the jar you put on the end of the hose to spray weed-be-gone in....I use a new one. I put about 2 inches of Peters in the container and fill with water....this is then attached to the hose and I spray the Brugs with that....they love it.
This Brugs gets water once a day now that it is cooler but in the summer it got watered at least twice a day.
I will measure the seed pod again in a week or so just for the fun of it....it's the biggest pod I ever had...lets hope there is something inside of it. :)
