A few years ago Jackson Perkins and Parks Seed had a discount center set up where they apparently brought all excess stock to sell. There were some really good buys available.
I liked going through their rows of shelving featuring filler stock. I occasionally found some really unusual plants. This variegated yucca is an example.
I think I paid .98 ea for 2 little pots that contained tiny variegated leaves that I recognized.
I thought both died, but lo and behold, the next year in the discarded pot I spotted 2 tiny leaves emerging!
Over the years it has lingered until last year it just kind'a took off. Despite a winter unlike any,I remember, we have ever experienced, this plant is putting out new growth this year!
