Hi, central Florida - not sure if it's a great crested flycatcher or a couch's kingbird.
Thanks
CLOSED: GBBC today - help please
No rufous in the tail or wings, so it's a kingbird, not a Myiarchus flycatcher.
It has white outer tail feathers, which makes it Western Kingbird (Couch's has a plain grey-brown tail with no white). Sibley has a patch of blue in Florida for Western Kingbird, indicating a wintering population there.
Resin
Thank you Resin, I have a tough time with these guys - new bird for my lifelist!
