Hello,
This hawk raised three babies in our woods this spring. I have included 2 pictures of the adult (unfortunately I only got the parent from the back). The front view is the juvenile. Thank you for your help.

CLOSED: Red Shouldered or Broad Winged Hawk?
Red-shouldered. You can see the pale translucent 'crescents' in the outer wing in the first pic.
