I'm sorry this is a terrible picture but was the only one I was able to get quickly. Is it possible to tell from this which hawk it is? I am leaning towards Cooper's.
I am just beginning to identify hawks and so not very good at it.
Thank you, Joan
CLOSED: CLOSED: Cooper's or Sharp-shinned Hawk
Tough one! I fear this one will have to stay unidentified - the blurring even makes it impossible to see if the legs are stout or 'sharp' (slender). Don't worry about it, no-one identifies everything they see, not even the top world experts.

Thank you...I was afraid the photo wasn't good enough. Maybe he will show up again I can get a better picture!
