These photos were taken 2/2/2014 in Fukuoka Japan by me. The bird stayed around for a short time. It made no calls and soon flew away. I thought it may be a bush warbler, as they are quite common here, but couldn't discern any eyebrow markings. There is a blue tinge to the tail as well as some orange tinge on the sides, and a white throat patch, so thought it could be a female siberian bluechat, (red-flanked bluetail). Habitat a mix of bamboo and bushes. Thanks for your time, Kawasemi.
Please help identify this bird
You're welcome!
Yes, Long-tailed Rosefinch, a female or immature.
We don't have any photos of Varied Tit or Long-tailed Rosefinch on BirdFiles yet, and very few of Japanese White-eye - would you like to add them, please?

Again, thanks for your assistance in verification of the long-tailed rose finch. When I took the picture, I was unaware that it was eating lichen off of the cherry tree. I find bird behavior fascinating. I added the three species you suggested. My handle, Kawasemi means common kingfisher. A favorite of mine here in Japan. I took the attached photo last month.
Kawasemi
Very nice, thanks!
I think the only bird I have seen eating lichen is Snow Bunting (looked up the Japanese: ユキホオジロ)

Common Kingfisher? Wow, nothing common about him. Thanks for sharing to you both.
