Tropf Blumat experience anyone?

I was looking at the online Costco site and found a German (I think) company Tropf Blumat.
They say that they work on a vacuum to sense the need for water and can be used without electricity and with rain barrels.

Anyone here have any experience with them?
I ordered some and plan to use them in my raised bed garden.
I have been using soaker hoses combined with garden hose sections for years, but it is not a sensing system.
