Spring Plant Swap 2014 HAVE & WANT LISTS

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

Please post only ONCE on this thread, and then edit your post as needed. In addition to the usual trading for the spring swap, you can keep track of your individual North Creek plugs "mini swaps" here.

It's harder to find the HAVE/WANT lists if there are lots of other posts on this thread, so please post requests, questions, and other discussion on the DISCUSSION thread, here:

Part 1: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1347015/ (last post Apr 30)
Part 2: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1358403/ (current)

Carex grayii -- a short ornamental grass -- despite reports to the contrary, it is not invasive (though it seeds a tiny bit), and it does not require especially most soil (I know, because I haven't killed it). I have probably had it for 15 years, http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/122363/ (muddy)
Chrysanthemum x rubellum 'Clara Curtis', http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1938/ (typwc)

Hi, Blossom,

Great to see you here!!

The Sweet Peas didn't make it, but I can bring Delphinium and lisianthus for you.

Would you have a Viburnum available for me?

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Hi, blossom!!!!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Donner just sent me this link via D-mail about the Evening Primrose
it is from a Native Plants site. Thought some of you may be interested....

http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=OESP2

G.

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

Oh Gita could I have some of your pink evening primrose too?? :-)

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Of course you can. I dug out a lot of them--more than requested--to give everyone a chance.

Hope to tag all the requests today....so she says....

Did you know EACH thin stem has a tap-root on these? Some really long...
That was interesting to see....
I just stuffed them into the 4" pots.

Here are all the ones i dug out. Still blooming away..

G.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

G: does this primrose get as tall as the yellow one? Does it spread the same too?

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

They are about 12" tall, but as I noticed--EACH skinny flower has its own tap root.

There were a few that seemed to be growing in a small bunch.

I had the yellow one eons ago--as i remember--they were taller. more succulent
and grew in bunches with supple green leaves.
These pink ones look like they could grow on your driveway....:o)
Kind of wiry---very thin stems....

You will see--and there will be plenty to share. As you pull them out of the 4" pots I put them in--there will be 3 or 4 separate plants in there-the roots wound up all together.

G.
