That is a beautiful plant. Are you sure it's D. attenuata? Have you seen it flower? The species is native to around here (NW BC) and is frequently misidentified.

I've never seen colors like that on an an attenuata. Either it's way out of the ordinary or it's another Dudleya (which would be my guess). The pictures on their web site look more like the plant I know.

It's not the first time. There's a misidentified D. attenuata in Fred Dortort's book, too. Maybe the plants are hybrids. They do not resemble the ones I've seen in nature.

I was wrong. There are plants south of here with exactly those colors. Lesson learned: just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. :)
