CLOSED: What kind of spider is on my wall?

Deer Park, TX

This spider has been in pretty much the same spot on a wall in my laundry room for over 24 hours. There is no web. I thought it might be unable to walk or dead. I took a small piece of paper and held it on the wall and touched the spider, thinking (if it could walk) it might climb onto the paper. It moved, but not onto the paper. It has probably moved a total of 2 inches or less from where I first noticed it. The picture with the marker is to give perspective of it's size. Please help me identify it.

I know spiders eat other insects, so as long as it's not dangerous, I don't mind it hanging around. Thanks for your help:)
