Caught this sequence last week at a local park. Typical predator prey action but I've left out the most graphic/gory part of the latter sequence trying not to offend anyone's sensitivities.

Thanks Resin. There are probably 50-75 shots in the whole sequence but after the last image above, it got gory quickly so I'll just keep those in reserve unless someone asks specifically to see them.
Unless you see something like this in person, it's hard to remember that these are relatively tiny raptors who seem to possess a very large degree of both agility and hunting skills.

That does indeed draw your attention and it's hard not to just keep staring at it. From a photography perspective, it's one of those "wish I had taken it" shots...
