Pride of Barbados

Melbourne, FL

Pics of my two "other" colors of Pride of Barbados that bloomed this year. Bright yellow and one called Cream. I also have a Pink that should bloom next year. The orange one is still my favorite.

beautiful. did you plant as plants or grow from seed? potted or inground?

Melbourne, FL

Grown from seed and all in the ground. Have to cut back and cover them if we get a freeze, which we usually do here.

How long from planting the seeds and seeing blooms?

Melbourne, FL

I started them under lights during the winter last year and they bloomed late spring, early summer. Would have been earlier, but I transplanted them at least twice.

Great! I have some adult plants that don't bloom and I have no idea why.

I have some of the Orange ones started from seeds this year.. Haven't gotten any blooms yet and to be honest have never seen the yellow, cream or pink ones. but your blooms are very nice. If your ever get extra seeds would love to get some. Thanks for the pictures.

If I get some mature yellow or cream seed pods, I'll get back to you.
