First snow! Auggghhh!

It is flurrying outside my new garden window at 7:49 am here in Saugus. I am going back to bed until "...Spring steps onto me windowsill..." as Eliza Doolittle so poignantly puts it.

Huge snowflakes at 5 this morning when I let the dog out....they didn't stick here, but a few towns nearby had snow on the grassy surfaces.

We have been getting lake effect rain and now snow. There really isn't any on the ground though. What has really bothered me is that we've had steady winds for the better part of 2 weeks now.
It reminds me of song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" when bad November storms cost 29 men their lives.

Our snow was also 'lake effect'.....I hate when the wind comes off of Ontario!

I'm going to be humming that song at work. It's supposed to warm up later this week though.
