best brug for shade?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I know it seems I am always asking questions here. But I live on very steep land and my brugs are planted some distance from the house. I'd like to grow one in a pot on the deck which is fairly shady. What brug would be the best for my situation? I'd love to be able to have one close enough to the house to pick up the fragrance while sitting on the porch......Betty

I would think any brug would be happy in part shad, but I am no expert. You say you have your brugs planted in the ground. Are you sure you don't have to over winter them?

They all seem to like dappled shade here, I have most of mine in pots too, put some of this plates with wheels under the pots and you pecan wheel them around your porch to get the morning sun and Shade in afternoon. I think they will still bloom with diffused light and bloom booster fertilizer s will help.

Rhapsody, we just had a trade. I grow mine in the ground but take cuttings each year and start over. I would just like to grow one on the deck but it's pretty shady. I have a nice BIG pot but was hoping to find one that could take more shade than usual.

That just sounds like a lot of work. Every Year! Don't think I could handle that. I almost lost my mind when I had to cut some back! LOL

I grow and cut them partly because I can't possibly bring them in and also because I sell the cuttings to raise money for our local museum.
