Good practice or not?

Is it good to remove spent blooms off brugs? I have never cleaned b4 but this year they really put on a show and naturally there's a lot of spent blooms that make for an untidy look.

Deadheading…Yes it's a great idea. It will continue blooming even more for you.

I leave them on for a bit. They may make seed pods! That will give you 50+ seeds to practice growing.

and I deadhead until around the end of August...and then just endure the mess for seed capture on the species...Since most of the hybrids do not come true from seed, I deadhead constantly on them so they look good!...

Txaggiegal, do you by chance have some species seeds available either for trade or sale? I'd love a couple of packs if they are from 2013..

I usually harvest in November...species are still blooming and have none left from last year's sales...sorry.

What are species brugs, where can I look this up. Interesting. Is dbl white candida a species?

Belton, TX

The species brugmansia are those native plants indigenous to a country...just like any other native...most of the species seem to come from South America, Mexico...etc. I would have to research the white candida to determine the origin...
