Eric,
I want to thank you so much for sharing your brug cuttings and seeds. I think you need to be thanked publicly for what you have done for some of us who are indebted to you for cuttings we would otherwise never have received. I for one am tickled pink, orange, white, etc. You are a super person to do this while you have so many irons in the fire. Again, thank you so much. I'll be emailing you later today and you can respond when you have a few minutes as I have a question.
Thanks,
Shirley
This Thread Started for Thanking Eric
I wholeheartedly second that. I too am most grateful.
Oh ((((((Eric)))))), I just almost knocked the mailman down when I saw he had a box in his hand.Thank you sooooo much for the cuttings and seeds.I can't believe they got here so quick.I am very happy with everything that you sent and can't thank you enough for your generousity in sending these special cuttings.I also have a question and will e-mail you as I want to make sure they are all marked correctly. Thank you again. Terry
Eric, I feel like you're my little brother! You keep teaching us, and never seem to get tired of the questions. I thank you for that as much as the cuttings. Since I 'know' you, your hybrids are more special than the one's I've broke down and bought. Gloria, I feel the same way about yours!!
love you both.
I was watching for the mail man also......was like Santa bringing that box to me:)
Thanks a million for all the goodies, Eric!
Owen
eric, WOW it is christmas. thank you so much
tiG,
you are so Welcome.
Big Smoooooch for Eric!! I got mine today too. I giggled like a school girl as I opened the box. I can't wait for all these to bloom....Thanks so much!
Eric, I'm thrilled, knew I would be. I can hardly wait to start some seeds and see what happens. I got such a nice assortment and some really big ones. Thanks so, so much for sharing with all of us, you were most generous.
I have all the things you recommended and will follow instructions to the letter. Pam
I just wish I could have sent you all all of my hybrids.
DxS or Dr.Sues x Solid Gold L or R denotes two different seedlings from the same cross. Dr.D is a Dr.Sues x Ecuador pink hybrid. All of those are first year repeat bloomers in the first year. Dr.D is an extremely fast versicolor type hybrid. I set seed to its very first flower. Great seed parent and moderate pollen donor.
Can't wait til spring!!!!!!!!!! argh, it's gonna drive me crazy with all these DG hybrids. Maybe in two years, I'll be the one with something wanted:) ya never know!
Eric - What color is Dr.D?
A BIG THANK YOU Eric for all the wonderful and most special brugs and seeds you so generously shared with me! I was like a kid in a candy store as I pulled each one out of the box! I would also like to thank you for all your rambling-on about hybridizing....thanks to you, I now have seed pods from my meager attempts at pollinating. Waiting patiently for them to ripen.
Much thanks,
Jean
Bravo for starting this thread. I was the lucky beneficiary of Eric's kindness during the summer. We all owe him so much. Everytime I look at my brugs marked
I also love the tickled pink, white and orange. Can't agree more

Where'd it go? - marked "Eric" - I still smile.:~)))

Dr.D is a wonderful peach color-just what you would expect from blending Dr.Sues and Ecuador pink which are her parents. I personally think she would be great to hybridize to whiskers, Jessie Noel, or any other aurea type. DxS would be nice to cross that one to Charles Grimaldi or Jutner orange or perhaps simply a candida type hybrid or a yellow aurea....
Sounds heavenly! One of mine says SxD L ... is it the DxS your refering to? I'm very nervous about rooting these. I can now scratch two of my previous cuttings off to rotting :-( One was the aurea and one was a candida double white. I desperatly don't want to loose these ones. I'm gonna try your perlite suggestion.
Hey Tig
You can bring them up to my green house and I'll "watch" them for you!!! I'm sure I could squeeze them in somewhere in that jungle. Do you know which of Brugman's hybrids you sent me a piece of?
Eric
though I haven't gotten seeds or cuttings from you I want to thank you for all the info and how-to directions you have given us. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Without your help, I couldn't have gotten any seed pods to set on my brugs. I was doing it all wrong till you helped me, and now if all these pods mature, I will have seeds to share with everyone.
Cala, I sent you his 'white' that I got from Arlene. I'm not sure if this is the famous fragrant white, I hope so. Maybe Eric or Arlene can answer this better. This is not one from the recent batch, but one I got earlier this summer.
SxD L is my favorite of the R and L sisters. Of course my very most favorite I still have not released. Boy am I stingy. I was refering to either the R or the L though as they have the same parentage.
