I am finding these large jumping bugs in my basement. I am not sure if they are spiders or what? When approached, they move by jumping. They have long legs. Can anybody identify it so I can figure out how to get rid of them? Thanks!

They are relatives of grasshoppers and crickets known as camel or cave crickets; Some people also call them 'sprickets' because they think they look like a cross between spiders and crickets. These insects basically are moisture-loving nuisance pests that do little if any real harm - see http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2012/09/editorial_column_cave_crickets.html
