Double Orange

FSH, TX

Very early next year I will be hybridizing with my Double orange as my largest Double orange is taller than I am and in a pot inside. I have another in the greenhouse that I expect to be much taller by spring...I would like most to cross this to a double pink candida but I don't have any pink doubles. If anyone would like to have half the seedpods from such crosses from the first flush I would be willing to send half out for a cutting or rooted piece of a Double pink as it is much easier to set seed on larger Brugmansia. These would be Double orange x Double Pinks....

Ooooh. That will be some cross. Wish I had a dbl. pink. I'm sure someone out there has to have one.It sounds like you'll get a terrific flower out of that combination.Good luck!

Brugman,
All I have is Golden Lady...it's a creamy yellow.

I have one ordered for spring, but that won't do you much good right now. If you don't get one before I get mine up and growing, you are sure welcome to a large cutting from it at that time.

Shirley

Brugman: I have Tiara from Hodniks but it is double yellow not double pink. It's still tiny but if you're interested I'll start you a cutting as soon as I can get one. I've been trying to get a double pink also. Why don't you email Monika as I bet she's got one.

Just interested in the Double pink...lol, boy am I picky. Brugie, All I need is a small cutting when you get one up and going that would be fine. I'll keep one in the pot so I can move it indoors come next winter as seeds won't be ready till winter if one has to wait till spring. I can't wait to get some seeds started from such a cross though...
Time to sweeten the pot...Okay, I know this isn't very sweet for many of you as I have already mailed you cuttings of Double orange, but how about seeds and a cutting or two from my double orange for a double orange? Ahh, send cuttings back to you from the double pink as well after the crosses are made.

Eric, are you wanting a Herrenhauser? I have a small one. Which is your double orange, not sure I have it.

(Zone 6a)

Eric, I just received the package from you......and I am certainly well satisfied:) Thanks a million, Eric.

Owen

Brugman,
Please explain double orange since you already have a double orange. :)

Herrenhauser is the Double orange I sent to many of you that donated money for cuttings. The only type of double I am interested are Double pink candida or double pink aurea types. Well, that and Knightii, but I think I have talked Tig into creating an aurea hybrid with that one for me. Less work for me. I can't wait to see some pink and yellow aurea's crossed to knightii as I have been very impressed with just the white aurea crossed to knightii. Flowers that last over 9 days....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

....okay, on my hunt for knightii now....be back soon....oh, and one more question. There are two aurea yellows, one is formerly something else...can't recall. Earl has them both. Which is the one to get??

FSH, TX

Any aurea is a good aurea in my oppinion, but then I am biased. I have a wild yellow aurea that I like, but I have never been known to turn down an aurea hybrid. I still have a wild white aurea as well. Go figure. Of course, I have aurea Citronella as well...few of them at least. Roseabella, Butterfly....few of them as well, few Culebra's...will be sending out seeds from them next year if you guys are all good. NativeHabitat offers Knigtii cuttings 3 for 7 dollars if memory serves me Tig.

Eric, I can't be good, just not in me, but maybe I'll win the lottery or something by then:)

Thanks guys,
Recieved a whole slew of mail today. Loaded down with priority mail stamps and much more. Thanks so much. This will enable me to send some more cuttings out when the weather warms up for free.
