Just moved from Miami, FL into an apartment in Tallahassee, FL; and the bedroom is carpeted so maybe that's why I've been seeing a few different types of spiders that are completely new to me, but just thought of taking pictures of this particular one that freaked me out. I'm really afraid of all types of spiders.
It was in my room, and so I sprayed it with some raid pesticide. It was smaller than 1 cm, probably around 7 mm. Could someone please identify what type of spider this was? Thank you so much.
CLOSED: Help Identify Spider
There may be two different harmless spiders in these images, but it's difficult to be certain because of their distorted appearance. The first one appears to be some sort of orb weaver while the second (and maybe the third as well) looks more like a jumping spider. There are only two types of spiders in Florida that truly are dangerous to humans, widow spiders and recluse spiders, and the latter are quite rare.
