Texas tree ID help!
It appears to be a crepe myrtle from the bark and leaf shape. They come in several versions from very short to tree size and a great addition to any landscape.
I agree with Skeeter Crepe myrtle, the bark is very unique.
Thanks to both of you guys! I'm a tree idiot. Went to the library and got a ton of books.
Now that I've got a Crape Myrtle, I'll fit right in around here!
