Wrong place for an ornamental grass ( pennisetum I think) When is the best time to move it?
best time to transplant a grass
I don't have that grass, but here in Texas fall and winter are the best times to transplant.
I just wasn't sure if it was better to wait until I cut it back in January or move it sometime in Oct so it had some time before a freeze to settle in. I'm ready to have that area look better so I'm itching to get started.
I dont know about dig and transplant but I took my grasses from pots to ground last fall and they never missed a beat.
