I spotted this thrush today in some woodland near my house. It was a little dark so not the clearest photographs, but I can't figure out which sort it is. I'm leaning towards a Hermit Thrush but would welcome a second opinion. Many thanks in advance.
CLOSED: Thrush - Not sure which one
I am thinking Hermit as well, but because of the angle I cannot say it is with absolute certainty.
I'm going to be brave and say Gray-cheeked Thrush: note the very long primaries (shorter on Hermit, and also Bicknell's), and also the dusky flanks at the base of the leg. Also perhaps significant, is the apparent absence of any reddish tones in the tail (again supports Gray-cheeked), but that could just be an effect of it being part-silhouetted.
But like Chillybean, I'm not 100% certain on it.

Thank you both. I've considered it being a Gray-Cheeked too, that would be rare for the area I'm in I believe. I don't recall seeing any reddish to the tail, but with the shadow it is hard to say for sure.
