September is here and it is almost time for our fourth Round Up at Lonesome Pine Farm in Hempstead, TX. Dave and I love hosting this event, and spending time with all the great folks that come out. We have lots of animals to pet and feed as well as a pond which can be fished.

Saturday November 9, 2013, starting around 10 a.m. As always you are welcome earlier but we might have you help with chores.

We can lunch around noon.

I will send directions to the farm closer to the date. Please let those who might not visit our forum about our RU. We are a friendly group, and it would be great to add some more new faces.
We will have a fun garden item door prize give away. Bring a garden related item, valued between $5 and $10, and take home something new.

We do have a large (10 x 20 plus wings) canopy as well as our big porch if the weather gets dicey. Bring a chair, wear comfy clothes, and shoes that can get dirty.

Joy, Lindatx and a friend of hers is coming. I know. Im supposed to ride with them. Also the girl ;named PamSmith is planning to come. I dont know wh;y they have not posted. You remember Linda. She's been twice now.

I have posted a food thread, and have updated our attendance to the best of my knowledge. If you haven't decided, please consider coming out. We would love to have you.

Carey, I will call Mr, Hanath tonight and see if the day lily place is still open.

I'm going to try to make it and my mom wants to come, too. What do we bring? I don't have seedlings but I have lots of seeds.

Don't worry about not having plants or starts, look over our trade list and see if there is something someone has that you would like. Feel free to ask. Many of us started our gardens just that way. A lot of my plants came from RUs. We also have orphans, things that we bring that no one asked for, and those go home with new families.
You can list your seeds and see what folks might like or just bring some and I am sure there will be interest.

Don't forget to bring a fun, useful, interesting, or green garden item, valued between $5-$10. These items can be anything that you think someone would like. We will use these items as door prizes so everyone will get to go home with something new. Your guests are more than welcome to participate as well.

The weather is supposed to be quite beautiful on Saturday but depending on how much more rain we get, we might have some soggy areas so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get dirty. We are a working farm so cement walks and asphalt are not close at hand.

We have some chairs, you can bring your own if you wish. We should have plenty of tables.

Been busy & not in the Garden. Just confirming. Smock & I will be there. Also, I'm bringing a new friend. Got chairs loaded .
