i am looking for prune plums to buy

I would like to know if anyone has some plums to sell or tell me where I can buy some. These are the purple prune plums, they are my favorite, but can not find them in Augusta Ga. Thanks,

look for stanley variety or italian prune many of the Lowes and Home Depots have them this time of year.

Thank you, but I am looking for fruit, not the tree. I want to make some plum jam, but can't find the fruit.

Sample several types from the store. You want one that is sweet, minimum. Dry as opposed to juicy, and freestone if possible. A juicy bland or tart plum won't work as well. I have dried genuine prune plums, and they did not turn out like the ones you buy at the store. They turned out more like dried apricot halves.

The problem is that none of the stores are selling eny prune plums in Augusta, Ga. I guess because it is not growing here, they are not bringig it in from the north. I kind of gave up on them, got hooked on papaya so life is still good. Thanks for your help. Etelka
