I won a Porsche and the Canadian Lottery but had to buy into four timeshares and sit through a presentation at a really bad restaurant to get them. Decided that I wasn't will to sit through a poor meal AND listen for two hours to a Bozo to tell me how lucky I was to win all that good stuff so I turned it all down...

I am sure you could use the 500 dollars but do you really want someone else to sit through the presentation to give you even half of it? Besides no one can go in your place and if they do they will not give the money in your name to them. Read the fine print......I think you have to make a reservation in your name and pay a reservation fee that they give back when you show up.

I totally agree Marty. I read the fine print and really never fill out for those. Even when you see a car in the mall to win if you read the back you are agreeing to sit through something and I use to sit through them years ago for the free stuff and they get really pushy and mean when you won't buy. Once went to Galveston and got a free computer but it was used and broken. Won a fishing boat once and it was a blow up boat.
I won't set myself up to be pressured as I get enough of that without asking for it.
Sorry Sylvia but I think it is too much to ask someone to do for the hassle they will get for not buying. I wouldn't do it for 500 for myself sure not to share with someone unless they really did all the work but then I wouldn't ask. Just giving you my opinion gf. You know I love you.

I felt it was a scam and is why I was not going out there.
