I found these in my backyard near the entrance of my house. I'm curious as to whether they are dangerous, I don't want to harm them if they're not.
It seems as though there are at least four of them in the one area - They seem to all be the same type (I think), one is very large and I want to know if it poses a health risk to my family or pet. The larger one doesn't seem to aggressive: I put my shoe near(with in 4-5 inches) it slowly, and it backed away into it's "funnel??"
Two of the photos show a few different characteristics, two are low quality but show the shape and quantity from above.
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba - August 2013
CLOSED: Spider ID
These are funnel weavers (family Agelenidae), maybe Agelenopsis sp.; they are not dangerous.
