This passion vine came from an RU but not sure which. It's been in this pot for a while but I don't recall which one it is. Also, who is the critter munching on it?

That is Passiflora foetida, Woolly or Scarlet fruit Passion flower, you probably got it from me.
The caterpillar is Gulf Fritillary, both very nice.

I am not a butterfly person so who are these two?

I see 3 cats on the plant and many more eggs. I hope they don't kill it.

Pretty Monarchs Cheryl, dunno the first one tho

cheryl, I think the smaller one is a skipper, maybe a lace-winged tropical. Hope Dale will chime in and help us out.

#1 Gulf Fritillary , #2 Queen Butterfly, #3 Queen as well.
The Queens look a lot like the Monarchs but are not the same. They have been very scarce around my gardens this year.

Thanks Joe.

Cheryl, how did you end up with that? It's a Maypop.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, it is Passiflora foetida like yours.

Arlington, TX

I took out my maypop as it was invasive here and was spreading in the lawn. This one is potted and doing well so far.

Keep it potted because it spreads, too.

I intend to.

Can't find the larger cats, maybe the birds ate them? I see a lot of smaller ones though.

Cheryl, I have a Lavender Lady passi and the Gulf Frit cats eat it up but it has come back for a couple of years now. I even cut it back in mid summer this year when it looked really shaggy and it came back beautiful and lush! Not making too many flowers after the mid summer cutting, but it will again soon. And this passi is a lady! It stays put, no traveling, no suckers 10 feet away and other horror stories I hear about some passis :) Janet

I might look for that one then. I wonder if its hardy up here? All the cats appear to be gone.

I am sure they have pupated now, those Gulf Fritilaries sure are pretty.
