Totally off the subject of clematis, but some of you will remember my post last fall about planting a shared bed with my neighbor. Here are pictures of Sept 2012, April 2013, and today. We are so happy with out success here in the heat of Central Texas. I have 5 rain barrels and attribute the growth to a steady diet of rain water. It also is used on the clematis. I highly recommend that anyone who can set up a rain collection system.

I believe the rain barrels were the ideal answer and glad to see such great results.
