Cukes have finally burnt up, but I saved one.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Ive had this pickle in a homemade sling for a few months, and now that all my cuke plants have withered away, it was time to cut it loose. I think it is a Sumter, but I could be wrong. Planted six varieties this year. The longest lasting one into the heat was Lemon Cucumber.

I take garden pics like an addict, will post a few more now and then.

brando

edit to add it weighed 2 lb 12 oz, and was 11.5 inches long

Very nine Brando, I love cucumbers.

Try Lemon cucumbers next year. They don't wither away in the heat. They're small, the size of a large lemon, but you get 3-4 per day, per vine. They don't get bitter, either.
