Is this a sharp-shinned. Found in no. California.

What does the tail look like? Sharp shinned hawk's tail is straight across, whereas Cooper's is rounded. So I'd say check out the tail.

Probably Cooper's from the heavy bill, but with the tail cut off, hard to be certain
