best time to move

Frisco, TX(Zone 8a)

Since it's been hot I've just been sitting and planning. I want to move some stuff that isn't working where it is and want advise on timing.
Iris
Ornamental grass
Cuphea
Some sort of lily getting ready to bloom.
Thanks for any timing advise if it can be done in the fall or should I wait until after a frost or next spring.

Lillies can move after blooming, but feed well, otherwise wait for winter. We have fits with cuphea too, just doesnt do well for us...ornamental grasses- after it blooms, better in the winter, the weather here is just so brutal in the fall, everything looks like it is dying no matter what...we do have good weather for fall gardens, so seeds do fine if new sown.

Iris is best moved just after it blooms but can be moved in the fall as well. I moved my ornamental grass last year in the fall and it did well.

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait until we cool down. It will give me time to consider where to put things and what to put in the space.
