We see so may crepe myrtles blooming this time of year, I think we don't appreciate just how beautiful they are.
These are growing at the entrance to our local greenway.

There are some pink crape myrtles in a ratty part of New Bern (yes, it does have a few ratty areas). I am sure they get no water and no care but they are always loaded with blooms, and for a long period. I think they are thriving on neglect, and would love to know what kind they are. I have two muskogees and one natchez.
