I think I might have tried this plant many years ago. Anyone grow it here or is it simply too hot (esp. at night)?

I don't have it, or know anything about it, maybe someone else does.
It indicates that it is native to Arizona and New Mexico, and it probably is rather rare.
Its actually pretty easy to find for sale or at least the cultivar is. I just don't know how it would take our high night temps.
I think the reason I don't see it here is it needs gravelly dirt and not enriched soil. It might be nice in a raised dry bed. You know me, I always want something different.
