Four nerve Daisy

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

It looks like I am about to kill my clump of 4 nerve daisy that I got at the Hempstead swap. It is in full sun and the flowers have just gotten smaller and smaller and half the clump is now brown. Anyone know what I should do? Do I need to dig it up and give it more shade or what?

I have several four nerves that I transplanted this spring. Mine were struggling until I mulched them heavily. Also, do you deadhead. I have found that that keeps flowers from using their strength to produce seeds and they give you better blooms. This heat is brutal for all my plants, but the ones that are mulched are doing better.

I have found that Four nerve doesn't do as well in the summer, ours is just hanging in there.
It does much better in the fall winter and spring.

Thanks, all. How can I find out which 4 nerve that I have. I see there are 4-5 different species.

Here is a link to the search for Tetraneuris, the one I have is Tetraneuris scapoosa

They really get raggedy looking in the heat of the summer and the flowers decrease in size until they stop producing. Don't over water them, but give them enough to survive. They'll bounce back when it gets cooler.

Thanks, guys. I was really worried I had planted in the wrong place. I was about ready to dig em up and move them. Would giving them a little shade be helpful? I could rig up something to help them a little.
