Some of my summer squash flowers have the tiniest ants I've ever seen crawling around in them. At least I think they are ants. Seem to have that shape, but they're too tiny to be sure. They're black. Does anyone know if they are harmful or helpful?
TIA

Tiny ants in squash flowers
Nor harmful but not really helpful. They are just harvesting nectar from the plant and may do some pollination while they are at it, but are not nearly as effective as bees or some of the pollinating flies.
I've got those on some pepper plants that are in pots. At least I think I do, lol they are so small I'm not positive they are ants.
According to this link, ants range in size from 0.75 to 52 millimetres (0.030–2.0 in)

Most ants are considered beneficial insects.
