I can't find it so I guess I'll start one. I hope that's how it works.
Artichoke blossoms.
July Flowers
Very pretty Sweetmommy, I love artichokes.
I ate the first crop and let the second ones bloom. I don't know if I enjoy the fruit or the flowers more!
Wow! I haven't had artichokes in years I should buy me some.
Very pretty, sweetmommy! I'm a fan of purple in the garden.
We inherited some crepe myrtles when we moved into this house. I really like these pink ones. I can see them out my kitchen window and it's so cheerful.
The Turk's Cap has started blooming. Yippee!
This is really not a great pic, but my yellow Shrimp Plant has started blooming along with the Rock Rose.
Here's a bee coming in for a landing on the Rock Rose flower.
Not a bloom, but today's tomato harvest...6 pounds of tomato goodness.
Congratulations Stephanie, especially about the lovely tomatoes.
So pretty, Josephine! Do the tall sunflowers belong to you or your neighbor?
Never too many tomatoes!
I love those pretty, pink coneflowers. They remind me of a toy my daughter had in the 90s. I can't remember the name but they were fairies that she shot into the air and they twirled their way back down to the ground.
The sunflowers are mine and they are at least 8 feet tall, the flame acanthus is also mine, I forgot to mention them. The crepe myrtle is across the street, but it looks like it is right there. It also happens to be the same color as the phlox.
Those sunflowers are TALL! What variety are they? I had volunteer sunflowers this year by my compost pile.
They are volunteer common sunflowers, I usually have to pull a lot of them, they really come up thick but I like to let some of the grow for the birds, besides they are pretty.
I have tons of Tithonia, (Mexican Sunflower) seeds, if anyone wants some. They are a bright orange.
Not much blooming at the moment, but my Western Ironweed has starting cranking out the flowers. I love the purple in my garden!
Also, saw this guy flitting around my compost pile this morning while I was snapping pics. Love the wing pattern.
The rudbeckias have started blooming as well as the blue ruellia. I had another shot of the rudbeckias but they looked very wilted, so decided not to post that pic! LOL
Do you see the gulf fritillary butterfly laying her eggs on my passi? She was very busy yesterday morning when I was trying to snap her pic.
Also found one lone cat on my passi. I was trying to keep him hidden so the wasps didn't find it.
A friend gave me 12 gulf fritillary cats. They disappeared off of the passi by the next day. Do you think they all got eaten?
That certainly sounds suspicious, were they pretty big and ready to pupate?
All different sizes
Well then if you put them on the same kind of Passi that they were eating before, the only other thing is predators.
Sorry about the disappearance.
Mine is about to bloom also, but mine is in a large pot.
Does it do well potted? I found a seedling in the original bed I need to dig up and put in a more suitable place this fall. I also have a bag of seeds but haven't tried sowing any from last years flowers. I am excited to see this plant looking the way it should compared to its sprawling mess last year.

Checking in with some of my flowers that are hanging on with the sporadic rains. My butterfly pea vine got transplanted from its pot about two weeks ago but is starting to bloom and climb among my cream pea vines.
I have several NOID pots of rain lilies thanks to a rambunctious puppy, slowly as they bloom I am getting them reidentified. This is a yellow that a friend has volunteering at her house, small but vibrant yellow.
This milkweed is all yellow all the time and is so pretty surrounded by one of my volunteer tomatoes.
My front gate has a few things hanging on in this heat, it gets no help and has to make it on its own. A buddlei, a red crepe myrtle that glows in the dark, and my American wisteria. I still have a few brown eyed Susans and some of my red blanket flowers looking good but I didn't get pics of them yet.
Mine has done well in a large pot.
Here is a bit of what's going on in my yard. At the moment, it is raining, wonderful rain.
1. white caladium, rustic orange coleus, crocosmia and red caladium
2. red shrimp plant
3. Petunia multiflora with potted sedums in front
4. the very faithful Esperanza beside white duranta and in foreground, tall cherry sage and gold lantana with strawberry fields
5. My strip of Mexican Petunias.

Marty, love how white caladiums brighten up shade gardens. BTW, the coleus cutting you gave me are all doing great. Did the hellebores survive?
Glad the coleus is doing well. That one I gave you is a real star. It just goes and goes and I pinch and have way too many little ones but it is a beauty. I have two hellebores that are doing well and two that are iffy. I may have watered too much. Trying to do better. How about yours? Are they doing well?
I kept a couple in pots that I was planning to give to my son but the shade bed wasn't done and they are ok. One has just "disappeared slowly while the others nearby are fine. Maybe it was just getting too much sun or I might have not unbounded the roots well from the pot at planting.
Beautiful, Steadycam!
I like the color of that phlox, how has it done for you?
It is my first experience with it and I think it is one tough cookie. It survived drought that was really terrible, that killed a lot of plants.
Very nice, Marty!
Is it a named cultivar?
I got it from Dennis DFW. The only name he gave was John Fannick phlox.
Might have to try those. Every site lists them as needing full sun. Wonder how part shade would do?
Mine is in part shade. I tried some other phlox one time here in full sun and they did not make it.
