What is happening to my Napa cabbage?

In the picture you will see a nicely growing Napa cabbage that this morning began to wilt. To the left of this you will see a smaller one that was just DONE in. 3 others are totally wilted also. What in the world can be happening here?

My guess (totally uneducated) would be bacterial soft rot.

I'm no expert at growing cabbage, but I'm guessing they have received too much water and the roots have rotted.
