Anyone trading passi seeds

Mesilla Park, NM

I just have blue Caruela seeds right now, but have lots of fruits.

Maypop hasn't produced fruits yet, vitifolia hasn't bloomed and temptation hasn't made any fruits yet either. I've tried hand pollination but the pollen is either gone or none on these fruitless ones. We have lots of carpenter bees so hense the fruit in Caruela .

I'd really like get different seeds to try. I have some really small seedlings of a white flowered one and what may be lady lavender . This one has been blooming but no fruits yet, maybe when it gets cooler.

Gourd,

Some of your passiflora are self fertile and some are not. Some plants are sterile and will not produce fruit or poor seedless fruit. Your p.vitifolia is one of better fruiting varieties if you have a pollinator for it. I would think you can pollinate your p.vitifolia from your caerulea. I think this is supposed to result in something like p.Lady Margaret. I would keep trying to cross your other plants, I think they all should work on each other and vise versa.

A link that may help is here;

I have received a few seeds but unless received from friends, the one's I've bought seldom produce plants. Good luck!

Thank you for the information,

The one on the bowl is from seeds to temptation, and it looks like the one up above, and the temptation flower next to it. First time the seedling blooms. Incarnata has been blooming and so has blue Caruela. I just took the photos for fun. The pollen is not forming at all on the temptation flowers. Ill give some hand pollination on these a try.

Thank you for your response. I ate a whole bunch of Caruela seeds today, the fruits were looking good, but they had very little flavor.

You're welcome. Nice blooms. I haven't seen a temptation in person yet, is it fragrant? Actually I haven't seen a caerulea in bloom yet either, LOL. I have some caerulea but I think I'm killing it with TLC.

Oh wow, I did have morifolia and mollisima at one time in California .

The Caruela did not go dormant this past winter, it stayed green all year. I have plants all over the place, gave over two dozen planta away this spring trying to get them out of my raised beds. I have several more if you should need one or two let me know, you can have them for postage.

I hope I uploaded the right photos hopefully you can see the tunnels they are covering and they have been blooming for months now.

Oops one of the photos Is not the right one. The photos are so tiny when you click on them, I have about three hundred feet of coverage , lots of carpenter bees too. I hope they are somewhat visible in these photos

Looks like only the first photo shows part of the tunnels

Beautiful garden. I hope my plants get full like that by next year, if the Gulf Frits ever leave them alone for a minute. I have p.caerulea, it just hasn't bloomed yet. Thank you.

I came across another link you might find interesting. Apparently your p.incarnata and p.vitifolia are compatible and should make for a nice hybrid offspring as seen here;

Myles website has seemingly endless amounts of great information for passiflora lovers http://www.passionflow.co.uk

Thank you, yes Loy's of information there. Myles has identification tips too. Not that I could ever identify anything besides Caruela .

I have to go back to those links again.

Temptation has a very strong fragrance, of course I stuck my nose in the flower last night.
