Seeds growing like crazy this year..

Heres a partial flat of Thai hybrid seeds I planted on 5-8-13.They are loving our hot humid weather lately. These are two seperate crosses.I hope they show some of the same characteristics as the parent plants. I have another 90+ seeds of purple colored crosses ready to plant also.

They look great! I love growing plumies from seeds too. This year I planted about 20 seeds from all different varieties. I can't wait to see them bloom.

I will have over 500 seedlings when all is done for the season. And I still have seeds needing to be planted. :-)

Wow, how do you overwinter that many?

I keep them cool 58-65F and dry in pots in the basement. They go dormant then start up again in spring. The really little babies stay under lights in warmer temps to keep them active the first year.

Mine will all stay outside until mid december and then into the greenhouse. My problem is that with all of the epis and passi's there isn't a lot of room. I really need to either cut down on what I grow, or get a bigger greenhouse. LOL ( neither of which is realistic right now.)

That sounds like a common dilema!! LOL
